Leadership Statement
Purpose
I believe in building each other up as a team to create the vision and fulfill the mission statement daily. This is done by creating a caring, morale-building environment that will inspire the team to focus on teamwork and values set in place.

Servant Leader
Servant leadership is the leadership I feel is my style. I have a strong inspirational factor on followers. This type of leader values their people, has humility, listens, builds trust, and takes care of their people. These are all very important attributes I have. Having these attributes allows for respect to be built and creates a bond where more will get accomplished with a positive attitude.

Communication

Transparent communication is vital. Listening and caring are two major components in communication. Possessing both will build trust over time with my team. Having compassion is essential in my leadership.

Role Models

Liz Theophile is my inspiration when it comes to servant leadership. It would be an honor for her to be my mentor. Her compassion and humility for her associates is impeccable. She treats everyone equally and puts herself in their shoes. She makes decisions on what is best for their career path. She even quit a job that was willing to promote her. She believed it was unjust for her to be promoted after laying off her own associates to save on payroll costs.

Values and Principles

Incorporating the golden rule of treating others how I would want to be treated is one of the quotes I lead with. It is crucial to empower, develop, have a vision, communicate, reinforce, influence, have empathy, humility, passion, as well as respect and commitment. I believe being humble and being equal with my team is also important. I want them to feel comfortable and respected, without them I could not be a leader.

Intentions and Commitments

My intentions are to successfully mold my followers into leaders themselves. Teach, train, and evaluate along the way to successfully design the vision and fulfill the mission statement. If there is something that needs to be addressed, I plan on addressing the issue promptly. If the issue is within my own leadership skills, I would like to know what the concern is so it can be addressed as well. My commitment is to always be fair and equal. To make sure my team has the proper tools for success.

Expectations

My expectations as a leader are to inspire and have my followers be proud of their leader. I expect to have transparent communication and allow for constructive criticism to go both ways as needed. I want my team to feel comfortable addressing issues. Having a team that wants to better themselves and strive for greatness by giving their absolute best is my goal as a leader. Embracing my values and principles daily to build trust and commitment with my team so we can accomplish our goals.
