Work Ethic
My work ethic stands out from the crowd. I have morals, integrity, responsibility, a good conscience, honor, and respect. I value incorporating good worth ethic as a leader as it makes
it easier to expect and enforce the same, which sometimes is not as hard to accomplish by leading by example.

Perseverance
Whenever I think of the word perseverance, Dory comes to mind. Finding Nemo/Dory is such an inspirational movie. Even with a disability, "short term memory loss", Dory knew exactly what to do to keep going forward. At times, life can get rough, but as a leader we do not have time to sit and have self-pity. We must keep it moving and continue making daily decisions and spur of the moment decisions that we cannot let life interfere with. I have gained this drive over the years and turning negatives into positives is a great way that I accomplish that.

Emotional Intelligence
Learning to deal with different personalities and understanding my own foremost is very important. With this skill set, it allows to create a more inviting and family-oriented work environment. I get more out of my associates if I try to take the time to understand them instead of just barking orders at them. Everyone wants to feel safe, secure, wanted, and heard. I am a very empathetic person. I like to make certain that my associates are well taken care of and if not that I can do everything in my power to make it easier for them. Associates will put in more quality work with less of a fight if they feel you have their back as well.

Adaptability
Adaptability is a skill that businesses love. By nature, we are adaptable creatures, however, some tend to fight this as they get comfortable with everything staying the same. I on the other hand, embrace change. If everything stayed the same all the time, we would never advance. A lot like the picture above, being adaptable can sometimes feel like you must juggle multiple tasks at the same time. Learning to deal with stress and learning coping skills are great ways I utilize the uncomfortable-ness of being adaptable.

Strong Written and Verbal Communication
Having this skill is honestly a breath of fresh air for many managers. So many issues, violations, or even lawsuits can be avoided with proper training and communication. I like to have open and transparent communication. I like to know exactly what to expect with turnover notes and I like to leave clear turnover notes to the following person, so they know what to expect and get caught up on what happened previously. This way everyone stays in the loop. Having strong writing skills is also a strong suit of my own. I take pride in proper grammar and punctuation. It is more professional if an email or memo is typed properly where everyone can understand what is being communicated. Improper communication, such as emails too vague, can leave too many assumptions, inferences, or even unintentional mistakes that can be easily avoided. Proper communication is always needed which making that judgment call on whether to email or make a phone call is a skill that I have acquired.
