Ethical Philosophy

Background

Ethics has always been a strong quality of mine. This quality was instilled in me as a young child. I truly believe you become the company you keep. I was raised by my father, whom was a police officer for twenty years. My mother, whom was a devoted, Catholic woman with high religious standards. Both being good role models – left me with little choice but to have high ethical behavior.

Whether someone is watching or not, I always choose to do what is morally and ethically right.

These traits have carried over into adulthood, which will carry further into my professional career. Having this mindset will set me apart from other candidates as having good work ethic is becoming harder and harder to find.

Core Values

Having good work ethic consists of a few different principles that all interlock; you cannot have one without the other. I have always lived by the golden rule of “Do unto others, as you would have them do unto you.” Meaning I treat people how I would want to be treat. I also work how I would want people working for me. Leading by example is another great personal mantra that I try to inspire with.

The following are ways I choose to inspire through my work ethic. Being dependable, I ensure I will be on time and get projects done on time by utilizing my proficient organization and time management skillset. Trustworthiness is part of my ethical behavior that will be proven and shown daily. I will not commit fraud or slander. I represent the company I work for and always uphold professionalism. Being honest in all aspects is an important quality. Lying does not get anyone anywhere. Having a guilt-free conscience allows for better sleep at home and more productiveness at work. Producing quality work by not taking shortcuts or the easy way out. I can hold myself accountable when I am wrong and able to receive critiquing feedback to better myself. Making sure to address issues promptly as they occur. These are all qualities that make me a professional candidate for the job. I have received exceeds expectations on all my work evaluations due to these high standards that I take pride in.

Self-Expectations

The core values addressed in this statement of ethics are what make me the great candidate to add to your professional organization. I stand firm on upkeeping these core values daily both in and out of the work environment as I hold high expectations of myself. Consistent ethical behavior is what professionals desire in their employees and that is what I value as well. Words only go so far but proving consistency with ethical decisions is what truly defines your character.
